I visited James Sime from Isotope Comics yesterday and he told me about an iPhone app called Comixology that he helped to produce (or inspire at least). As I've been looking for a way to track my comic purchases as well as indicate the ones I want to buy in the future, this seemed like the perfect solution, since it turns out that you can actually connect the app to your favorite local comic book retailer!

Since the procedure wasn't completely obvious to me, I thought I'd jot down how you do it.

1. Buy the app. As of April 2009, it's a $1.99. There's also a free Lite version, but it seems greatly limited.
2. Get an account on the Comixology website.
3. Navigate to Isotope's profile on the site and click the "Connect" button and agree to connect:

   

4. Sign in to your account on the iPhone app using your Comixology credentials.
5. Your iPhone app is now connected to your Comixology account and James now knows which comics you want!
