Based on ideas from Simon Willison and extended by Tim Berners-Lee, this plugin enables whitelisting of people based on:

1. their verified OpenID URL
2. their relationship with other people based on FOAF or XFN connections.

Whitelisting can be useful for a number of purposes:

• allowing elevated permissions
• bypassing captchas and other spam-fighting barriers
• enabling access to protected resources (i.e. access to private portions of an hcard, etc)
• cross-service functionality (i.e. access to multiple Basecamps)
