Airfoil Speakers + Airfoil works sporadically

I'm *loving* Airfoil + Airfoil Speakers -- using my MacBook Air to broadcast to my MacBook Pro so that I don't constantly have to walk across the room to change the music I'm listening to, but I find that when I put either computer to sleep, sometimes broadcasting stops working... I know that the signal is being transmitted (as indicated on my Air) and that the signal is being received (Speakers says that it's "Receiving") but no audio is playing. Sound works on my MacBook Pro -- it's just that nothing comes through with Airfoil Speakers.

Any ideas or ways that I could debug this?
