I sent a message to customer service at United Feather & Down asking how to best wash my down comforter. This is the reply I received (within 24 hours!):

Good Morning Chris,

In regards to proper washing instructions for your comforter, we recommend using a commercial style front-loading machine on the delicate cycle with warm water and a mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat (so the cover will not scorch) for a minimum of 2-3 cycles to insure the fill is completely dry. If you add a few (two) tennis balls this will help re-fluff/redistribute the fill.
