This is a profile-subscription extension for wp-openid. Since the default behavior of the wp-openid plugin is to not make use of the WordPress profile system, the purpose of this plugin is to add support for account creation and profile population, and to provide hooks for other plugins to add additional profile information through special feed subscriptions or add-ons.

The goal of this plugin is to subscribe to data wherever possible and to reduce the manual re-entry of data. In that sense, it will make use of hcard subscriptions and/or SREG data population, vcard attributes. In fact, the base schema for wp-openid-profiles will be vcard attributes.
